Monday 6/10 - Federer: Twelve Final Days
Man of many talents, Joe Sabia of Vogue: 73 Questions fame, built up a genuine camaraderie with the one and only Roger Federer during their first interview for the fashion mag. So much so, that the GOAT asked him to capture some personal BTS footage of his last twelve days as a professional tennis player. The magic that was captured blossomed into an incredible look at the twilight of one of the greatest athletic careers of all time. This embarrassment of riches allowed Joe to pivot into documentarian mode, and he enlisted the help of a co-director in Asif Kapadia (of Amy and Senna fame) to smooth out the edges and help build a cohesive narrative throughout.
The result is an incredibly intimate film that debuted last week at the Tribeca Film Festival to everyone’s delight, and drops on Amazon Prime starting today!
